Kinloch Gate

Started by Kim Horn on Monday, August 08 2011, 10:08 PM ·

Please add the subject of the "Kinloch Gate" to the August 15 city-council meeting agenda.

Now that the Westport Rd. widening-project has been completed, I would be interested in knowing when the church will have its use of that gate terminated (per their agreement w/Woodlawn Park officials).

Thank you,
Kim Horn

Thank you Mayor Brown for your quick response.

If it's too late for the agenda to be amended, the September meeting will be fine for the discussion re: the Kinloch gate.

I do however, prefer to post questions here in the open (as I have done in the past on the other neighborhood link site) versus using the "suggestion" option. It seems that that format would send my query directly to you, or the concerned party, and other residents might not have an opportunity to be involved in/read something that may be of interest to them. Besides, the response to my initial post was quite quick, albeit seemingly impossible to meet.

With gratitude,
Kim Horn

    Kim,

I just had one of those ah-hah moments that I sometimes get. From a Mayor's prospective, I want to make sure that I respond quickly to resident comments or concerns. But, I never really gave much thought to maybe a resident wanting to help other residents via a bulletin board or discussion. Thanks for your words and sharing!

    Mike

Kim,

The August agenda has already been set and reviewed by the City Council for the City Council meeting. I will, however, have the City Council review and read the agreement we had with the Church for a discussion at the September 19th city council meeting.

Currently, the Church and the city residents have access to the Kinloch Road gate on Sunday mornings.

In the future, for a quicker response, please email me or click on the suggestion button on the home page of this web site.

Thanks,

Mike Brown, Mayor
