Recycle Right Program coming to Woodlawn Park in late October!

Posted on August 31, 2025

Our city will be part of the "Recycle Right Program" that is being provided by a grant to the Louisville Waste Program. The overall goal is to educate the community on how and what to recycle. There are a few misconceptions out there. This program will officially begin for Woodlawn Park with a recycling audit on October 6th. All recycling containers will be dumped and an initial audit will be performed on how well we as a city our doing. Read the pdf and begin only placing proper items in the recycling container. This way when the evaluation officially begins with Woodlawn in late October our goal is for all residents to get tagged with green tags. Please click here for a PDF that helps us all to know what to put in the recycling container and what not to put in the container.

They are doing the pre-audit for our city on Monday, October 6!

Here is the schedule for the actual program that will actually tag all our recycle containers. Remember, we want to see all GREEN Tags- at least that's our goal. If you get a RED tag, just make sure you review all items that should go into your recycle container for the next tagging schedule. The reason we are participating in this recycling program in Woodlawn Park is to bring awareness to what should be recycled and what should not be.

The Recycle Right Program folks will have a booth at the Chili/Fall Social at City Hall from 6-8 to answer any and all questions regarding this program!

Below is a sample of tagging dates: We will send a Reach Alert as soon as we know a definite on dates. (You can sign up for the FREE Reach Alert system on the Quick Links page of our city website or click here!)
